Alternatively, the capacitive touch screen offers a highly durable, accurate, and fast touch interface for applications that do not require gloved or stylus input. The ICD supports many optional features including biometrics, barcode scanner, and RFID.
DVI stands for Digital Visual Interface. DVI is a multi-pin connection used for carrying , high-speed, high-definition video signals. The ICD uses a DVI-I port which accepts both digital and analog [RGB] input. It connects to most POS terminals from the DVI-I port for a direct digital signal. The ICD can also be configured to support VGA input control with the addition of a VGA card.
The retail hardened design offers a spill resistant, high impact enclosure that is built to withstand tough in-store conditions with continuous operation. The countertop enclosure provides many benefits, including a small footprint and multiple integrated options. To improve customer interaction, the ICD has built in signage mounting locations on the top and sides. The unique Cable Management System provides for ease of installation, controlled access to connectors, concealed cable routing, and cable restraint for better reliability. This all-in-one solution provides very tight integration of core touch monitor hardware including a touch screen, magnetic stripe reader, and much more.
The ICD also has more ports than most alternative touchmonitors including 2 powered RS232, two USB, and 1 DVI-I. This provides greater flexibility to support both legacy and next generation peripherals. Also, the powered serial ports eliminate the need for power bricks, thereby reducing another point of potential failure. The solid-state, fanless design results in high reliability and excellent supportability.
The ICD integrates to both P1550 and P1220 Point of Sale terminals.
