In a movie theatre, the attention of managers and owners has to be on the quality of the experience for the patron, not on the security of their patron’s information. Radiant understands this, and our Exhibitor product lines are designed and developed to be at the forefront of patron data protection initiatives. Some highlights of our efforts:
- Radiant Exhibitor Suite was the first Entertainment POS to be validated against Visa’s Payment Application Best Practices (PABP) in February 2005.
- Radiant Entertainment has developed and implemented internal policies and controls to ensure that, in the event our staff must access sensitive data, the data is safeguarded while in our hands.
- Radiant Entertainment develops new software, and makes modifications to existing software, using the principles of Visa’s PABP as a guide to ensure continued protection as our solutions evolve.
- Radiant’s Exhibitor Suite product line supports contactless payment to prevent payment cards from leaving the consumer’s hand.

We strongly recommend that each customer work closely with their Radiant account team to develop a migration strategy to the appropriate PABP validated release. The risks of not moving to a validated release include potential exposure of personal credit card numbers to outside entities and potential fines from Visa, as well as other potential liabilities. For clients without a support and maintenance contract, or who have non-validated versions installed, we strongly recommend that you also move to one of the validated versions of software.
Radiant Entertainment is committed to supporting our customers’ CISP compliance efforts. CISP is a broad initiative that defines retailers’ responsibilities for achieving and maintaining the security of cardholder information. Retailers are responsible for the security of their communication networks, host-based payment processors, business processes, as well as headquarters and site physical security. Radiant Entertainment POS products are an important part of the overall compliance effort, but it is one part of a broader obligation.
