Mawarid Food Company-Pizza Hut Saudi Arabia Selects Radiant Systems' Aloha TableService POS

Radiant’s Aloha suite of POS applications crosses globe with ease of use and reliability

ATLANTA, (July 22, 2005) — Mawarid Food Company (MFC) in Saudi Arabia, the largest Pizza Hut Franchisee in the Gulf Region, announces they have selected Radiant Systems’ distributor partner, Professional Solutions as their exclusive point-of-sale (POS) provider. MFC—Pizza Hut in Saudi Arabia operates 73 restaurants and delivery units have rolled out the entire Pizza Hut concept to all their sites.

“There are three reasons we like Aloha POS solution; ease of use from a user perspective, communications ability that we have our data everyday in the most detailed level available in the corporate office, and its proven track record in the local market,” said Hassan Soultani, general manager of Mawarid Food Company. “The biggest benefit is that it works. The solutions projection operates great—if you use it, it’s the difference between a good solution and a great solution. We changed the current system to Aloha and have found it stable. We were also impressed by the installation, training and technical support capabilities of Professional Solutions.”

“The people at Professional Solutions understand hospitality business specifically in the local Saudi market,” said Abhay Gupte, information technology manager of Mawarid Distribution & Trading Group that also includes Pizza Hut restaurants in Saudi Arabia. “We evaluated various POS systems and chose Aloha POS because of system stability, configurability and redundancy and thus the dependability. One other great feature is the COM interface and intercepting technologies through which we could get most of our specific requirements fulfilled. Added to this was the fact of local representation from a strong professional team with extensive experience in our local market. They are a mature company, yet were willing to work with us on tailoring their solution to support our specific Pizza Hut requirements.”

“Without the extensive strength of Mawarid I.T. division, their operations team excellence and the software stability and maturity we couldn’t have reached together this aggressive timeline,” said Wael Mousa, retail and hospitality manager at Professional Solutions.

“Radiant Systems is very proud that Pizza Hut Saudi Arabia has selected the Aloha suite of POS applications to be part of their total solution,” said David Griffin, vice president of international for the Radiant Hospitality Division. “We look forward to working with Pizza Hut Saudi Arabia through our local partner Professional Solutions into the future.”
