Radiant Systems’ Entertainment Division Installs Kiosks at National Aquarium in Baltimore with Just Arrive
Radiant kiosks reduce congestion at the box-office windows of one of the nation’s most prestigious aquariums
ATLANTA (Oct. 13, 2005) – The Radiant Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ: RADS) Entertainment Division announces a strategic installation of self-service kiosks in the National Aquarium in Baltimore through Just Arrive, LLC, the leading cross-platform, electronic ticketing services provider in the industry. Radiant K600 outdoor kiosks alleviate crowd build up outside one of the nation’s most prestigious aquariums by issuing thousands of pre-paid tickets.
Radiant kiosks are tied to the Paciolan enterprise ticketing system employed by the National Aquarium and hundreds of other venues. The kiosks are multi-functional with a simple software switch converting self-service will-call kiosks to sales outlet kiosks at the discretion of the aquarium’s management.
“With more than 7,000 kiosks in operation, Radiant has excelled in the self-service kiosk market due to our durable touch screens, weather-resistant enclosures and flexible design,” said Chris Lybeer, president of the Radiant Entertainment Division. “With Just Arrive as a partner, we’re able to introduce our kiosks to new markets that will benefit from self-service technology such as aquariums, entertainment facilities and professional baseball and football teams in every region of this country.”
Radiant’s outdoor kiosk is a reliable, rugged device that is built to withstand heavy use and outdoor exposure. A kiosk enhances the consumer experience by facilitating a fast and clean ticketing process and allowing consumers to avoid waiting in line. Operators benefit by reducing the labor costs of their ticketing operation. Radiant kiosks feature bright touch screens, protected ticket or receipt printers and a flexible design that allows clients to easily incorporate their custom signage and brand. Supported by the Intel® processors and chipsets and the Microsoft® Windows® XP operating system, Radiant kiosks provide the speed, reliability and flexibility of the latest in self-service technology.
