
RARE Hospitality Selects Radiant Systems’ Newest Advanced Point-of-Sale Terminal
Radiant P1220 terminal provides reliability with increased efficiency
ATLANTA (Oct. 17, 2005) – RARE Hospitality International, Inc. (NASDAQ: RARE) has selected Radiant Systems, Inc.’s (NASDAQ:RADS) P1220 point-of-sale (POS) terminals aimed at increasing reliability and efficiency within its restaurant operations. RARE Hospitality International, Inc. currently owns, operates and franchises 285 restaurants including 234 LongHorn Steakhouse restaurants, 29 Bugaboo Creek Steak House restaurants and 22 The Capital Grille restaurants.
Radiant’s P1220 terminal features an easy-to-use 12-inch color touch screen display, Intel® Celeron M processor and integrated electronic payment card reader. Built to ensure non-stop sales reliability, the P1220 terminal is equipped with a rugged, spill-resistant enclosure to maximize system uptime. The Radiant P1220 terminal is designed to meet changing demands of the restaurant industry with incorporated biometric and RFID readers.

The latest addition to Radiant’s line of open POS terminals, the P1220 terminal is based on standard Intel® Architecture and includes more peripheral ports than most terminals of its size. The new Radiant P1220 terminal is available in several mounting options to support all restaurant environments.
