Don Pablo’s Selects MenuLink’s BOA.NET Smart Client Application
Full back office functionality available in current release regardless of Internet connection quality
Huntington Beach, CA (Nov. 18, 2005)—Don Pablo’s, famous for its authentic Mexican cuisine, has selected MenuLink’s BOA.NET application which provides headquarters with the benefits of an enterprise solution without dependency on connectivity. This functionality creates an always available solution for the operator.
MenuLink is one of the sole-providers of Web-based back-office technology that can function on a variable Internet connection. Don Pablo’s operates 96 restaurants in 19 states and features made-from-scratch salsa, tortillas and sauces as well as an entire range of authentic Mexican specialties.
Recently acquired by Radiant Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ: RADS), MenuLink is a leading provider of back-office software to the restaurant industry with more than 9,000 installations. MenuLink’s BOA.NET product helps restaurant operators who are using various point-of-sale systems as well as facing Internet communication challenges among multiple sites.
"We selected MenuLink for its reputation as the easiest back office application to use,” said Gene Thurston, IT director at Don Pablo’s. “The BOA.NET product enables our various sites to collect and then remotely move critical data to headquarters when an Internet connection is available. It can run as either a full web application or a more traditional in-store application. It's the only back office restaurant system I'm aware of which runs like that.”
“We’re proud that our back office applications add a tremendous amount of value to the restaurant operators,” said Terri Williams, chief operating officer, MenuLink. “BOA.NET’s functionality is unmatched in the hospitality industry today. It’s a smart and cost effective solution for the hospitality industry that has struggled for years with communication concerns running a Web-only product.”
BOA.NET leverages Microsoft’s Smart Client technology to provide the restaurant operator with the power of a desktop application combined with the ease of deployment and management typically found in a Web application. With a rich and responsive user interface, it can be deployed over the Web and includes an automatically updated version control feature. BOA.Net ensures operators have consistent access to their back office applications regardless of an Internet connection.
MenuLink has built its success on the open, flexible nature of its products as well as its reputation for ease of use, reliability and POS independence. MenuLink will benefit from the strength of Radiant’s global service infrastructure and key differentiators such as fully-integrated enterprise reporting, gift cards and loyalty.
