ATLANTA (Jan. 30, 2006)—Radiant Systems, Inc.’s (NASDAQ: RADS) hospitality division announces Platinum Technology Systems as an Elite Reseller Partner with the opening of its newest regional office serving the Washington, D.C., Northern Virginia and select areas of Montgomery County, Maryland. Mascott Corporation, Platinum’s parent company, has nearly two decades of restaurant management experience owning and operating more than four concepts across more than 16 sites.

Mascott is a multi-concept restaurant company founded by Marc and Scott Gillman in 1989 with the opening of Markers Harborside Grille, a sophisticated American Grille located in the Harborside Financial Center, Jersey City, New Jersey. Mascott has been a franchisee of Cinnabon World Famous Cinnamon rolls since 1990 and currently operates eight Cinnabon bakeries in Super Regional malls in New Jersey and New York. Mascott has also been a franchisee of Popeyes Chicken & Biscuits since 1999, and currently operates six Popeyes restaurants in New Jersey.
In 2005, Mascott obtained exclusive rights to develop 30 franchised units of the Grilled Mexican Chicken concept, El Pollo Loco (“EPL”). EPL is one of the most successful QSR concepts in the US, with 90 percent of its 330 units located in southern California.
