FOCUS Brands Inc. Selects Radiant Systems As The Exclusive Preferred Technology Partner For Its Carvel® and Cinnabon® Franchisees

Worldwide sweet treat powerhouse chooses Aloha software running on Radiant hardware

ATLANTA (Feb. 22, 2006)—FOCUS Brands Inc., the franchisor and operator of over 1,300 ice cream stores, bakeries, and cafes under the brand names Carvel®, Cinnabon®, and the franchisor of Seattle’s Best Coffee® in Hawaii, on military bases, and in certain international markets, has selected Radiant Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ: RADS) as the exclusive preferred technology partner for its Carvel® and Cinnabon® franchisees. FOCUS Brands’ solution includes Aloha Enterprise reporting and Aloha QuickService point-of-sale (POS) running on Radiant P1220 hardware terminals.

“Since its creation, FOCUS Brands’ primary objective has been to focus on making our customers happy,” said Steve Romaniello, president and CEO of FOCUS Brands, Inc. “From ice cream stores to bakeries, it’s important to serve our customers quickly and efficiently. Our vision is to standardize our global operation with the Radiant solution, enabling operators to focus on customers and profits—not think about technology. We hope to install more than 500 sites this year as we begin executing this strategy.”

“We’re proud to be chosen as the technology partner for FOCUS Brands’ Carvel® and Cinnabon® concepts,” said Andy Heyman, president of the Radiant Hospitality Division.  "This selection is further validation that Radiant’s solution is an essential component to their success across the globe. The Radiant solution adds value to the FOCUS Brands operation because of its ability to support the unique needs of each brand as well as scale from a large grouping of stores to the single site operator.”

Aloha Enterprise reporting produces in-depth operational information including timely business alerts, customizable consolidated reporting and advanced sales analysis in real-time. Aloha QuickService POS reduces associate training time, improves order accuracy and provides comprehensive management of key processes from a central location. The latest addition to Radiant’s line of open POS terminals, the P1220 terminal includes a standard Intel® Architecture, cable management and more peripheral ports than most terminals of its size. Installation of Radiant terminals requires minimal interruption of daily operations with flexible mounting options and a unique cable management system.
