Radiant Systems' Aloha Solution Scores Big with Leading Gaming Operator
Gala Coral Group focuses on ease of use and central management
ATLANTA (October 4, 2006) — Expanding its international presence in the hospitality industry, Radiant Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ: RADS) announces the implementation of Aloha TableService Point-of-Sale (POS) and Aloha Enterprise Reporting with Gala Coral Group, Europe’s leading gaming operator. Gala is in the process of deploying the Aloha solution in its 176 bingo clubs and 32 casinos across the United Kingdom, Isle of Man and Gibraltar in an effort to centralize control of its food and beverage operations and significantly reduce staff training requirements.
With many geographically dispersed locations, Gala was looking for a technology solution that could facilitate a more efficient, integrated approach to managing the food service segment of their gaming operations. Aloha TableService POS and Enterprise Reporting allow Gala to manage and change menus, pricing, promotional programs and more for all sites from a central location. Corporate-wide sales data is collected throughout the day using the Aloha system, enabling Gala to track and manage performance more easily and efficiently. Aloha also seamlessly integrates with Gala’s membership system and food and beverage financial software, further automating business processes.
“We turned to Radiant Systems to provide the functionality and support necessary to manage a complex operation and to help us continue to rise as a major player in the gaming and entertainment industry,” said Stewart Cruickshank, head of IT for Gala Coral Group.
Importantly, the Aloha POS system’s superior ease of use has helped Gala reduce staff training. With just a minimal learning curve, Gala employees are ready to use the POS and provide exceptional service levels to the nearly 25,000 customers that visit Gala bingo clubs and casinos every week.
“Radiant Systems is pleased to offer Gala the product and service quality necessary to manage food and beverage operations in their gaming establishments,” said David Griffin, vice president of international business for the Radiant Hospitality Division. “We look forward to continuing to provide the solutions necessary to support their growth.”
