Additech, Inc. Selects Radiant Servers for their Rugged Stability
S4500 servers from Radiant ensure uptime for fuel additive system
ATLANTA (October 5, 2006) – Radiant Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ: RADS) announced today that it has contracted to provide up to 1,000 servers for Additech, Inc., the leading supplier of automated fuel additive systems in the petroleum retail industry.
Additech selected the Radiant S4500 server after an extensive search and comparison with computer equipment from several global hardware manufacturers.
“When looking for a server platform for our application, we wanted to ensure that the configuration that we built our application on would remain consistent for a good period of time,” said Ralph Koehrer, Additech’s chief executive officer. “Radiant was able to show us a roadmap for the S4500 server series that ensured our investment in product development would be protected.”
Additech builds and operates a unique at-the-pump automotive care system that enables consumers to conveniently perform routine auto maintenance while they refuel. Additech's "tune-up at the pump" engine care service dispenses and blends specialty fuel additives into gasoline while consumers are filling their tanks.
“Our hardware continues to be recognized as industry-leading for a wide variety of software applications” said Mark Schoen, president of Radiant’s global petroleum and convenience retail division. “When companies need high-performance, retail-hardened hardware that will provide a consistent platform over time, they are increasingly turning to Radiant instead of generic hardware manufacturers.”
The S4500 server utilizes the latest high performance Intel® processors, the fastest networking available, locked-down front panel access for maximum security and advanced power and cooling systems for long term reliable operation – the S4500 delivers high performance, locked-down security and reliability at an affordable price.
