Radiant Systems Enhances Technology Solution to Canadian Market with Ingenico Partnership
Combined systems strengthens Radiant’s offering to the Canadian market
ATLANTA (October 24, 2006)—Radiant Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ: RADS), a leading provider of innovative technology to the retail and hospitality industries, announces an agreement with Ingenico to integrate the Ingenico Pay@Table™ products with Radiant’s Aloha point-of-sale (POS) solutions for restaurant operators in Canada. The combined systems offer a secure solution for pay-at-the-table and curbside payment applications, allowing both large and small restaurant operators to enhance customer service and increase cardholder data security while streamlining operations.
Restaurant operators are showing an increased need for pay-at-table technology as a means of improving service and increasing table turns while still recognizing the realities of cardholder data security. Radiant Systems can meet this need by combining the operational benefits and security of Aloha with the global expertise in payment systems provided by Ingenico. “Broadening payment options to include Canadian debit gives restaurant owners in Canada better tools to meet the needs of potential diners,” said John Kirk, general manager Northeast region and Canadian operations for Radiant Systems. “With additional investments being made in our products, team and channel partners, this new solution further improves our ability to help operators increase sales and reduce transaction costs, and is an important factor in our ability to serve the Canadian market.”
Using the combined solution, restaurant operators can improve customer service, streamline operations and increase the security of payment card data. Servers can close the table and print checks and signature receipts from the Ingenico Pay@Table portable terminal directly at the guest’s table or at curbside ordering, without the card ever leaving the sight of the customer – improving speed of service and enhancing server productivity. Additionally, the system’s wide range of payment options includes PIN debit, which expands choice for the consumer and carries the added benefit of lower transaction costs for many operators.
“Ingenico and Radiant have shared histories of delivering technology that helps operators enhance their service capabilities and operational efficiency,” said Geoff Bowen, president of Ingenico North America. “By integrating our products in a way that has global reach, Radiant and Ingenico have created additional value beyond what each company’s system offers individually.”
