Family Express Selects Radiant to Replace Legacy
Point-of-Sale

Radiant technology chosen for ability to deliver superior customer experience

ATLANTA (February 28, 2007) – Radiant Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ:RADS) announced today that it has contracted with Family Express Corporation to deploy Radiant Point of Sale to more than 50 sites throughout Indiana.

“Family Express is about ‘building relationships’ with our customers,” said Gus Olympidis, president and chief executive officer of the Valparaiso, Indiana-based company. “The legacy keyboard system we were using has served us well, but it was no longer able to support the kind of customer-centric marketing initiatives that we had planned for our future.”

Family Express and Radiant expect to deploy Radiant Point of Sale at a rapid pace as the technology will enable the retailer to deliver loyalty functionality and employee task management. Family Express is concurrently pursuing the network integration of its car washes with the objective of achieving the capability to sell a car wash at a non-car wash location, which will be electronically redeemable at another location already fitted with a Family Express car wash.

“With more than 15 years’ experience deploying touch screens and a proven track record of supporting mid-tier retailers, Radiant was our choice in order to provide our company with the technology that will enable us to continue to innovate,” said Olympidis.

The Radiant solution will include Radiant point-of-sale software, P1550 point-of-sale terminals, S4500 site servers and Tiger Fuel Controllers. The Radiant Point of Sale will integrate to the PDI-RMS back office using the industry standard PCATS-NAXML interface.

“Radiant continues to be the solution of choice for innovative retailers like Family Express,” said Mark Schoen, president of Radiant’s global petroleum and convenience retail division. “Radiant provides products like the Tiger Fuel Controller that enable retailers to deliver competitive marketing programs at the pump while maintaining industry leading speed of service.”
