Radiant Systems Increases Focus on China

Rinpak Technology (SH) Ltd. signs partnership agreement aimed at broadening Radiant’s presence in the world’s fastest growing market

ATLANTA (August 6, 2007) — Radiant Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ: RADS) is increasing its sales and support capabilities through a new reseller agreement with Rinpak Technology (SH) Ltd., a leading distributor of innovative technology solutions in Greater China. The agreement enables Rinpak to sell and support Radiant’s comprehensive suite of hospitality software and hardware solutions to operators in China’s rapidly growing restaurant industry. This new partnership adds to Radiant’s existing presence in China through manufacturing partnerships and positions the company to serve not only new customers, but also support existing Radiant customers as they expand their businesses in Asia.

Headquartered in Shanghai, Rinpak has distributed and supported leading software solutions since 2001 and currently serves thousands of retail sites across multiple regions in China. The company’s experience crosses multiple product lines, including point-of-sale and business intelligence solutions, and diverse retail market segments, ranging from specialty merchants to big-box retailers.

“Rinpak has experienced enormous success by partnering with leading technology providers in each of the markets we serve,” said Kent Chen, chief executive officer of Rinpak Technology Holdings Ltd. “Radiant’s combination of easy-to-use, reliable technology and an established customer base, which includes some of the world’s most recognized food service brands, makes them an ideal partner for Rinpak as we look to move into the restaurant market.”

With an existing manufacturing presence in China, Radiant will build on the partnership with Rinpak to further expand its presence in China and the broader Asia region. Through other partner organizations, Radiant has maintained significant manufacturing operations in China to produce some of its core hardware platforms, including the P1220 point-of-sale terminal. The reseller agreement with Rinpak will build on local sales, implementation and support capabilities through a company with proven success in the region.

“Establishing a sales and support channel through Rinpak demonstrates our commitment to meeting the business needs of the global retail and hospitality industry as well as our confidence in them as a partner,” said Andy Heyman, chief operating officer at Radiant Systems. “We have continued to watch the market in China grow to be one of the largest in the world and we feel that the timing is appropriate to pursue this expansion.  While the competitive forces are unique in the various regions of China, our message to customers continues to be the same -- they want Radiant to deliver the same innovative, easy-to-use technology that we've brought to other countries."

“China represents a major opportunity for Radiant and our customers. Securing the right local partner is critical to our growth in the region,” said David Griffin, vice president of international business for the Radiant Hospitality Division. “Rinpak’s team has demonstrated their ability to deliver and support proven technology across multiple markets, and we look forward to developing a long-term, strategic partnership with them.”
