Pick-N-Pull Completes Rollout of Radiant Systems Retail Solution

Leading recycled auto parts retailer benefits from Radiant retail software, hardware, and services

ATLANTA (December 18, 2007) – Radiant Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ: RADS) announces that Pick-N-Pull, a subsidiary of Schnitzer Steel Industries, Inc. and a leading used auto parts retail chain, has completed the rollout of the Radiant Retail solution across 35 high-volume retail locations.  Pick-N-Pull decided earlier this year on a single solution provider approach to overcome difficulties experienced on previous efforts to upgrade its store technology.  With the assistance of Radiant Systems professional services, Radiant’s CounterPoint retail software and one hundred point of sale terminals were installed on an aggressive six-week timeline late this summer.  Results of the rollout have been excellent, with Pick-N-Pull vastly improving customer service, speed of transactions and the collection of data and management of inventory at the retail locations.  The Radiant Retail solution is now poised as the store technology platform for Pick-N-Pull’s aggressive growth plans for its retail business.

"The rugged retail POS terminals that Radiant manufactures were exactly what we needed in our environment and CounterPoint has been a perfect fit to help us run our business," says Larry Luck, Chief Information Officer of Schnitzer Steel.  "What has really impressed me is the true project partnership Radiant created.   Overall, I would say Radiant has the right software, the right hardware and the right team to deliver the needed services."

Radiant’s retail software, CounterPoint, includes inventory management, point of sale functions, purchasing, customer loyalty, and sophisticated management reporting capabilities.  Radiant’s hardware is purpose-built for retail requirements and features point of sale terminals with the lowest total cost of ownership in the industry.

"At Radiant we strive to make sure our products are 'Always Easy, Always On', and our solutions approach really eases integration challenges and sets up the customer for a lower total cost of ownership,” said Chris Lybeer, Radiant Retail division president.  “We continue to be the only provider of an end-to-end solution including software, hardware, and services in the small-chain retail space.  We offer something that retailers have been wanting for a long time – quality and the simplicity of a single vendor.  We had a very active working partnership with Pick-N-Pull, which, time and time again, is a key to success."
