Field Services: Installation Serivces

Rollout Management

The key to any successful technology rollout is skilled rollout management. Radiant Systems is a leader in rollout management, leveraging our intimate and established knowledge of POS solutions and unique rollout methodology. We successfully manage two to three major POS refreshes per year in addition to "one off" and maintenance projects.

To guarantee that your rollout is successful and consistently replicated, Radiant relies on a solid team of experienced professionals. Our programs are designed to ensure a successful project that is completed on time, within budget, and meets technical performance objectives while providing a single point of accountability for the entire rollout. Radiant's unique rollout methodology focuses on the following key areas:

Requirements Definition
Radiant's process is an interactive and proactive forum that Radiant and the customer use to determine the scope of work and the mitigating factors to successfully install new technology. The output is a rollout work plan with a recommended approach based on business objectives. At the conclusion of the requirements definition, a comprehensive report is published outlining approach strategies, risks, and mitigating factors.

Schedule
Radiant creates a rollout schedule that maximizes resource efforts and minimizes travel time and expenses. Geographic limitations, support bandwidth, and third-party functions are only some of the factors Radiant analyzes to deliver a solid schedule that meets the customer's goals.

Site Surveys
One of the most important elements of implementing a new solution set is comprehensive and accurate site surveys. Site surveys mitigate the business risk of site preparation and scope of work. Delivery of this service virtually assures that the site is ready to accept the new POS solution and minimizes the need for multiple site visits. Our professionals conduct site surveys to establish hardware requirements, placement of POS systems, and software configurations. The information gathered is used to expedite the installation process and minimize the impact to business operations.

Alpha and Beta Phase Installs
Radiant firmly believes in a staged approach to implementations. By breaking the overall project into phases, infrastructure limitations can be identified early on with limited impact to deadlines. The Alpha Phase is designed to identify required changes in software functionality prior to obtaining a "gold drive." The Beta phase is designed to improve installation processes and build upon best practices learned during the Alpha phase.

Resource Certification
Radiant believes in the strength of experience, but also recognizes the need for expanded resources or customer driven implementations. Radiant has developed a certification program consisting of classroom training and supervised installs.

Rollout
The Rollout Phase is the final step and contains the bulk of sites to be installed by certified installers. Based on volume of sites and time frame Radiant's Field Project Lead (FPL) model can be used to ensure best practice methodologies are followed. One FPL can provide installers with the necessary experience and skill to guide the project from the field. This ensures a successful implementation and minimizes the impact of the new system to the site. Weekly meetings keep the customer and management team informed and allow for regular bi-directional communication and rapid process changes.
